I’d rather be in *Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry* learning to be a wiz. ;P. Where would you rather be?
I’d rather be in *California* skating things we just don’t have in Texas. Where would you rather be?
I’ve had my D40 since the first week of March. Before that, I’ve had a few Nikon Coolpix’ cameras, new and old that go back around mid December. And before that, I had Kodak point and shoot since last summer. But with the cameras before my D40, I could never really get into photography, just because of the limitations of a point-and-shoot camera.
But about 2 years ago, I think, when I was a junior in high school, I started to get really interested in photography when I started browsing Flickr when I was bored in my digital publishing class. The thing that really intrigued me, was how a picture could capture a scene in such a way that cant really be enjoyed in that same way that seeing it in person would.
The whole point of this post was to let whoever cared, know that I’m not just some guy with a Nikon, thinking “I’m a badass photographer now that I can take pictures with blurry backgrounds!”.. I’m learning the trade everyday out in the field (part hypothetical, mostly literal) and I’m learning online as well with tutorial sites and through other photographers.
If you get a chance, take a look at my Flickr stream that has all my best photos (and some that are just from personal experiences). I’d really appreciate it, and I’d also appreciate any feedback in the comments on the site.
#Facebook is buying #Instagram. Get over it. Anyone who is outraged is stupid and doesn’t know anything. Both companies released blog posts stating that Instagram would remain an independent product that would continue being developed. Instagram will be helped by Facebook’s infrastructure and team of developers, while Facebook will better its products with Instagram’s features. Nothing bad could possibly happen to Instagram. It can only get better with Facebook as it’s backbone. So anyone who wants to complain, shut up. (Taken with instagram)
When Mike and I started Instagram nearly two years ago, we set out to change and improve the way the world communicates and shares. We’ve had an amazing time watching Instagram grow into a vibrant community of people from all around the globe. Today, we couldn’t be happier to announce that…
Photography allows me to take a snapshot of any moment in time..in life..ever. So after the moment has passed, I can relive that moment every time I look back at the photo. Photography is: reliving the past, giving remembrance to the future.
Why do you love photography?
